I think Schaub's value should be in the $8.5MM~$10MM range. I understand the injury concern, but unless it's someting that will put him out indefinitely for '13, I don't see them as having a choice but to re-sign him. There's just nothing in the pipeline and I don't think there's going to be a good, veteran QB available in trade or FA (Kevin Kolb, Kyle Orton, anyone? joking...).

I guess they could trade for or draft a young QB, but who? Cousins?? Even then would you feel comforatble giving the reins of a potentail SB contender to a young QB? Wish we could blend TJ's youth and arm strength with Schaub's knowledge, vision, touch and patience.
