When the headcoach was Kubs and the OC was baby Shanny (remember?), we had one of the best offenses in the NFL. But we couldn't run the ball worth a flip. Now we have Rick Dennison as the OC. We are not as good passing, but we have the league leader in RB in Arian Foster. That doesn't exactly make me nauseus, BUT the DC is Frank Bush and we have the second worst defense in the league. THAT does make me a little sick.
Mr. McNair has tried to run this team like a business and thats OK for the front office. The difference is you can't do that with coaches and players. You have to have someone with a certain visceral ability to judge their worth and whether to go out and get 'em and pay 'em a fantastic amount of money. These are the few and the most successful. I couldn't give you a better example than Bill Pollian of the Colts, or Bill Bellicek of the Patriots. now how do you go about getting someone like that? I won't hazard a guess but I hope we get lucky this time around. This long suffering town and fans richly deserves it.
