TV = CBS (Channel 11 local) 12 noon CST

Announcers = Gus Johnson, Steve Tasker

Opening line = Texans by 1
Current line = Jags by 1 to 1.5

Don't forget Thursday night NFLN action starts this week with Baltimore @ Atlanta.....
Assuming the spread was initially opened subsequent to Sundays games, wonder why it moved 2 to 2.5 points, and moved to the Jags ?
And I'm looking forward to seeing an old Texas fav of mine for the first time with his new team - D-Rob. I tend to think, all things considered, it was a good idea not to retain Robinson for another year here but can't help but wonder how things might have been different in '10 if the Texans had kept him ?

The only bright spot I can see for this week is we are playing away from home. Lately we haven't played that well anywhere, but at home seems like we are 0 for zilch!! Richard Justice (arrogant a**hole), but this time he may be right. He says the Texans aren't terrible, they just don't seem to be there! Other than the secondary sucks, and the offense is fast starting to, he would seem to be smack on this time. Wow is Me! Will this team ever get it's head out of it's arse?

Oh yeah, and believe me, we are better without D-Rob's guardhouse lawyer talk. But I believe he plays for the Falcons, not the Jags.

I just go by what Madduxsports posts as the opening line and it is frequently in conflict with other sources. Early reports from walterfootball.com have 78% of the money going on the Texans which is also in conflict with the way the spread has shifted (Walter likes the Texans in this game). The Houston Chronicle has the opener as Jags favored by 1 with no change so far. Sometimes a bettor will hit a spread early in the week if he thinks the oddsmakers are way off but most wait till the last minute after gathering info to bet...

NBT: I think nunusguy was referring to the Thursday night game mentioned above..

Well, if our defense can quit giving up the big pass play, we might just win one, maybe, I hope.

Gus Johnson calling the game. Does that mean we can chalk this up as a W?.... I hope so.

Koobs needs to shake things up a bit to get these guys refocused.

Suggestion: take Jacoby Jones out of punt returning and make Special Teams special again. He's 29th with an avg of 8.9 yards per return. Double that and then he's in the top 10 avg

I think most anticipate a fumble before a TD out of him.

Seems we had a lot of penalties during kickoffs and punt returns first several games of the year, with many nice runs brought back.

JJ has done better catching the ball and running well this year, when given a lane to run. He had a 39 yard run last game. He was pretty shaky his rookie year for sure.

I'd rather see some shake-ups on the defense side of the ball, we need to do something to get lots more pressure on the passer.

I guess I will predict we win, 27-24. seems I've been right half the time so far this year.

Texans have won more often in J-Ville than any other stadium other than their own...plus, their W-L record in FLA is pretty solid.

But there's nothing like Gus Johnson in the final minute of a close game. I enjoy his little operettas.

Default Tweet from @Adam_Schefter

@Adam_Schefter: Jacksonville DE Aaron Kampman out for season with torn ACL, according to Jaguars twitter account.

That sure helps Schaub's ribs a bit.....
