Yes, looking at my Mock draft, Earl Thomas is selected at #13. So, I was imagining trading up for him there. Then if Jacksonville had taken Thomas instead of Berry, that scenario would have Eric Berry available there. Everyone is so convinced that E.B. is a top 3 pick, that it seems ridiculous to consider. However, with teams looking at QBs, OTs, DTs, and Dez Bryant being THE dominant WR, there is a possibility for the FS to slip a bit. After Sean Taylor has shown that he can run a 4.3 in the 40, teams may move him up because of his size. In this scenario, I have the Seahawks taking the guy they coached in college with a familiarity with their system.

So, the question is would it be worth it to trade up for Eric Berry at #13 if the other 2 are off the board? Secondly, would it be worth it if we are talking about Earl Thomas?

Possible mock draft scenario if we traded up with SF at #13.....

1 13 FS Earl Thomas
3 81 RB Ben Tate
4 110 OG Kyle Calloway
4 115 DT Geno Atkins
5 146 LB Jamar Chaney
6 172 DT Linval Joseph
6 177 OG Marshall Newhouse
6 187 CB AJ Jefferson
7 210 RB Lonyae Miller

I think this addresses the needs of the team and is probably close to where they will be going. I may have AJ Jefferson way too low after the Combine, but we will see.

Roy,

If you have Spiller, Wilson and E. Thomas still on the board at 20, do you take Spiller or Thomas; or do you trade down to 25 and hope Wilson is still available?

I love Spiller and have since he was a Sophomore at Clemson. However, I'd rather have Ben Tate and Steve Slaton (not fumbling). Kyle Wilson may not still be available at 25. I'll just take Earl Thomas and be happy that I didn't have to trade up in order to get him. Perhaps I can get Brandon Ghee since I missed out on Wilson.

I would have to take Spiller. He was just as great as Mathews was last year in a tougher conference. And the good news is Spiller is sliding a bit because of a lack of feature RB's in the draft. I think if he can get past Seattle there's a good chance he'll be there. But Pete Caroll might wait until the second round and take Joe McKnight.
Mathews is a fine RB, but he and Foster might be a little too redundant in Houston, where as with Spiller we'd get a real homerun threat everytime he's on the field.

With Earl Thomas we'd get a great FS, but I would have to give the nod to Spiller who's a legit top 10 talent.
