Jeez, some pickings are slim. It's amazing that out of our 8 year history we don't have 2 DT's or S's with any sort of sustained success.

I went with:

QB - Schaub
RB - Dom Davis
FB - Vonta Leach
WR - Andre Johnson, Kevin Walter
OT - Ephraim Salaam, Eric Winston
G - Chester Pitts, Fred Weary
C - Steve McKinney

DE - Mario Williams, Gary Walker
DT - Seth Payne, Travis Johnson
LB - Cushing, Ryans, Wong
CB - Dunta Robinson, Aaron Glenn
S - Marcus Coleman, Bernard Pollard

The poll should have included Zach Wiegert as a guard instead of as a tackle. He was possibly the best OL on the team for a period of time and played at RG when Todd Wade was signed.

And not that I would have voted for him, but I don't recall seeing Will Demps on the list. Considering the lack of options at safety, I thought he would have at least made the list ahead of a few of those other suspects.

I just must be in the minority, but I really liked Marlon McCree.

I liked him too, as you know. He left the team without an offer and went to SD and continued to make an impact. Nice work, Casserly.

No playoff appearances? The All Decade team consists of the players listed below:

McRee was not very good with Houston though. Part of that was he didn't get a ton of playing time here and part was he didn't really do anything with what he got. So I'd lay his departure more at the feet of the coaching staff then anyone else. They had him and got nothing out of him. SD took him and got something out of him for a while.

I'm not sure I agree with any part of this. I recall his receiving substantial playing time and I remember his play standing out among the safeties. Not that that is an overwhelming recommendation...

I simply remember watching him play and realizing that he was better than anyone the Texans had at the time. The team obviously thought otherwise.
