Hey, we plug in this Foster guy (who was an undrafted rookie) for just 2 games this past season and he basically averages 100 yards a game for us. |

From what I've read/seen, Montario Hardesty is an ideal zone back.
Though, I disagree with your assessment of Dwyer; I've watched a considerable amount of him and he cuts just fine. |

Maybe we should resign Ahman Green and Chris Brown since we just need to plug guys in, right? I hear they'll be willing to re-up.... |

To my great sadness you guys are talking like the ZBS is a foregone conclusion. Depending on Pitts' comeback 2 to 3 fifths of our OL may be new next year. Are you sure you want to pick a back based on a somewhat teetering conclusion as to what kind of back we need.
IIRC Foster ran very well during the pre-season but was put on the PS because of his blocking inadequacies. I don't think it had anything to do with whether he could run or not. |

If so, Foster learned really well. His blitz pickup was one of the things I thought he did exceptionally well in his brief appearance.

It was one of the reasons they PSed him and you are correct, when he got his chance, he showed he had learned to pickup the blitz.

Yes, he does. He replaced Gibbs as Denver's OL coach and replaced Kubiak as Denver's OC.

Sorry, I didn't have a sarcastic face to go along with my statement.
While I am not 100% happy with the ZBS when it comes to short yardage situations, I don't think the departure of Alex Gibbs means we don't have to find a "Prototypical" ZBS Running Back. If we could clone Terrell Davis, that would be good.

You'll have to wait for Kubiak to get fired before we throw out the ZBS.
