Just want to make sure, I don't want him to be a bust either if we draft him. I just doubt the Texans will after drafting Caldwell. Kubiak loves Studdard. We'll be lucky to draft an OL in the first 5 rounds.

Yes, I agree. I think that is one of Kubiak's faults. Once he decides he likes a player, I think he sticks with him far to long as compared to another player he has on a very short leash. Ahman Green and Chris Brown as compared to Arian Foster. Studdard is supposedly mean and nasty, but I saw him get defeated too many times. Apparantly he can't do whatever it takes, because he didn't. I think Iupati could really impact the running game and marginally upgrade pass protection.

Changing gears, I think it was pretty unusual what the Texans did with Jerimiah Johnson. I'm sure it's not the first time it has been done, but I don't know of any specific players it has been done with. I think when they signed him, they knew he would probably have to have surgery on the shoulder. Usually, an undrafted guy with an injury has virtually no chance to stick with a club. They must feel the shoulder will be sound again and he has the talent to make the team next year.
