The Jags must have expected something like this would happen since they acquired Jerry Porter and Troy Williamson in the offseason.
At least now we know how a white boy could run a 4.3 at the combine. ![]() |

I think they just watched tape and finally realized that, for a QB, Sooie was a pretty sorry receiver.

This is apparently Jones' MySpace page according to a poster on FootballGuys.com:
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...endid=80279115 You know, people give the Lions crap for all the WRs they have collected in recent years, but outside of Mike Williams, they at least had a guy with talent before injury with Charles Rogers, then a pretty good starter in Roy Williams, and a potential star in Calvin Johnson. And what have the Jags done with their WRs since 2000 that's been so much better? 2000 R. Jay Soward (29th overall) - bust 2004 Reggie Williams (9th overall) - bust (at least relative to draft position) 2005 Matt Jones (21st overall) - bust Then they go out and pick up another first round bust in Troy Williamson and the potential-failing Jerry Porter (a 2nd round pick). The Lions are geniuses in comparison. |

so matt jones is out? well, i guess that means the jags aren't going to be throwing it around as much as they did last year....
![]() garrard is lauded as a ball protector but hell, he did about half the job that peyton, brady, drew brees and so on do. really, check his attempts and attempts per game on nfl.com it's a little better than half. it's a good thing MJD is hard to tackle....
