McClain's sleepers

Did anyone else see this? It's the Generals video on some sleepers in the draft.

Konz, Karem and Carrol all look interesting....

What a surprise, a player from Baylor. And McClains got ole JD atleast one maybe two rounds higher than he'll probably end up going off the Board.

I could see him going in the late 2nd. So John has that correct.

Another Baylor Bear the Texans have reportedly looked at is safety Jordan Lake. It looks like he was really two years ago and battled injuries this past season. I wonder if he could be a late rounder for us, provided we don't get Earl Thomas or the like.

Speaking of interior line prospects who have a possible future at center, I'm becoming a fan of Zane Beadles, maybe in part because Mike Mayoc also likes him.
Beadles played a lot of LT in college at Utah so he's athletic with good feet, but most think he's got to move inside at the next level. Mayoc said they played him at guard and center some where he (Mayoc) saw some a possible future.
And everyone says a player has got to have smarts to effectively play center in the NFL, well Beadles has got that covered as he's graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Anyway I'd take this guy before JD, who's less versitile and probably lacks Beadles athletic moves.

I also like Beadles; however, IMO he will be gone before we draft in the 3rd whereas I believe JD will last at least until the 3rd and possibly 4th.

Watching Beadles at Senior Bowl practices and during the Senior Bowl, I came away with no respect for Beadles. He looked like just a guy who could not anchor and didn't have the agility to kick-slide on the edge. I saw him getting pushed back in the pocket, so I don't know why I'd want him to play OC.

That's just me.
