Default Cushing wins "AFC Defensive Player of the Week" a second time

Texans rookie outside linebacker Brian Cushing was named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week on Wednesday.

Cushing had a team-high 10 tackles, one sack and intercepted a pass in the Texans' 31-10 victory over Buffalo.

Cushing becomes the first Texans rookie to win the award twice in one season. He also won the award in Week 6.

Cushing is sixth in the NFL with 66 tackles this season.

And the season is only half over. Is the Pro-Bowl a real possibility for
Cushing just in his rookie year ?
I dunno but I'm thinkin we got us a real keeper here ?

He has been fantastic. I think he has helped Demeco be a better player by allowing Demeco to take care of his assignments and not try to make every play.

don't want to jinx the kid now that he has already shown me to be wrong, so I am not discussing him until the season is over.

Dammit PK....by admitting he has proved you wrong you might have just jinxed him.

I am wrong about so much that it should not be cause for a jinx. Crowing about a player is grounds , so I am not discussing any individual player on our defense.

But I will say Peyton Manning a such a stud, and Reggie Wayne is the best Miami WR in years. wink wink, nudge nudge.

Yeah, that Peyton, ya know he never throws and interception or fumbles.... And Wayne, he never has a ball bounce off his hands straight into the hands of a DB..... Nor does he fumble.......

Outside Linebacker: Brian Cushing
The lone rookie midseason All-Pro, Cushing has made an immediate impact for a defense that's been one of the league's hardest to run against over the last month. He leads the Texans in tackles and provides a physical presence on the strong side.
