Default So much for Alridge

Well....that didn't last long......

From PFT: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...ry/rumor-mill/

Skins put Thomas on IR, ink Alridge
Posted by Mike Florio on September 22, 2009 9:07 PM ET
As expected the Washington Redskins have placed guard Randy Thomas on injured reserve, ending his 2009 season after only two games.

Thomas suffered a torn triceps during Sunday's win over the Rams.

To fill his roster spot, the Redskins have elevated running back Anthony Alridge from the Texans practice squad.

Alridge was acquired via waivers in February 2009, after he was cut by the Broncos. He signed with the Texans' practice squad after being cut by the Redskins prior to the season.

And, yes, we finally made it through one of these things without making some sort of smartass observation.

Though I am disappointed we did not get a chance to see him play here, getting a roster spot is a big deal and step up for the young man. I wish him luck, and I thank Rick Smith for finally have the guts to look at the local schools as sources of talent.

Yes he did take Thor, but that one was almost a no brainer.

If Case Keenum keeps playing like a college version of Drew Brees (not very tall, 6.0'), then maybe we ought to keep him on our draft board. At least he is mobile enough to escape the passrush!!
