Default Official Texans vs. Jets Game Thread, 9/13/2009

It's finally arrived.

Lots of chatter nationally about how this is a toss-up game. Smacks of a lack of respect to me. The Jets are starting a rookie QB on the road and missing two of their defensive standouts. The Texans are at home and save for Eugene Wilson and Kevin Walter, they're healthy and hungry. Winning home games in conference will matter when playoffs enter the convo, so it's time to take care of business.

Gametime!

Jets win toss and defer. Texans to receive.

Nice run back by JJ to the 35 but flag on the play: holding against Texans puts the ball up to the 20.

Slaton for about 2.

Pass to AJ good for about 7. 3rd and 1.

C Brown for 11 and the first down. Ball at the Texan 40.

Slaton -2.

Dump off inc. to Slaton. 3rd and 12.

3rd down pass is inc. so Texans to punt.

Other than the Brown run, our o-line looked like the David Carr days.

Jet's punt returner is tackled at their own 19.

Diles on the tackle for -3.

Nice breakup by Dunta on the pass. 3rd and 13.

Screen pass comes up short so Jets to punt.

JJ fair catches at the Texan 33.

Slaton for no gain.

Slaton takes the dump off for about 3.

Schaub hit as he passes = inc.

Texans to punt.

Jets fair catch at their own 26.

2nd down pass is tipped - but Jets get automatic 1st down on holding.

Now 3rd and 9 for the Jets....

Stuckey wiggles for the 1st down on the screen pass.

Good pressure on Sanchez almost creates an INT by Diles.

3rd and 10. Tight end screen goes for the 1st down. Jets and the Texan 39.

3rd and 3. Jets offsides -5. Now, 3rd and 8.

Pass good for the 1st down. Ball at the Texan 28.

Cotchery to the Texan 11 on a pass.

Texans have given up three 3rd and longs this drive.

3rd and 5 for the Jets.

Pressure causes Sanchez to hurry his throw - inc. - Jets to go for the FG.

FG is good.

Jets 3, Texans 0

Unnecessary roughness on the Jets after the FG to be enforced on the kickoff.

3-0 Jets, Brick with a personal foul on the attempt, 15 yards on the kickoff. Good.

I still haven't seen that NEW Agressive Attacking Defense that Frank Bush was supposed to install. Oh, I have seen it allright, from Ryans Jets. Come on Kubiak get your $$$$ together!!!

Jets takeover at their own 20.

Offsides -5.

Washington for 12. Wrap-up, Ferguson.

Ferguson breaks up pass. That's better, 3rd and 3.

Pressure by Adibi causes Sanchez to throw inc.

Jets punt.

JJ fields at the Texan 30.

You don't notice a difference in the Texans D? The only thing there is no change is allowing third down conversions. You can see it otherwise.
