Default RB Darius Walker Signs with Broncos

...because they just don't have enough RBs yet.

Quote:
In a 31-13 win against the Broncos on Dec. 13, 2007, Walker rushed for 66 yards on 13 carries, a 5.1-yard average.

After losing seven tailbacks to injured reserve last season, the Broncos now have eight running backs on their roster: Knowshon Moreno, Correll Buckhalter, J.J. Arrington, LaMont Jordan, Peyton Hillis, Ryan Torain, Walker and undrafted rookie Kestahn Moore.

With all the other rbs on the team I don't see him sticking with this team. I think McDaniels loves rbs like chucky loved qbs when he was in Tampa.

If the same coaching regime were around, you would think Walker's one game against the Broncos was why he was signed. But I don't think the Broncos' current coaches are even aware of it.

I don't think the Broncos current coach is aware of much.

They can't possibly carry more than 3 or 4 rb's, right? Looking at that list, perhaps Peyton Hillis doesn't make it out of camp. I'd like to see him in a texans uni. He was very productive last season, posting a 5.0 ypc on 68 carries. He's also a decent pass catcher out of the backfield, pulling down 17 in the 6 games he played in for a 12.8 average. I like him.

He'll pick up some cash for training camp, and then wait by the phone for the next blown knee......

McDaniels was singing Hillis' praises during the most recent mini-camp so I doubt he will be available.
