WR Anthony Miller was traded from the Bears for a future late round pick. Miller had been apparently seeking a trade out of Chicago for quite some time.
He was 51st pick in 2018 draft, and while over-drafted, it gives some sense to his possible upside. Across the 2018-20 seasons, he amassed 134-1,564-11. $1.7M on final year of rookie contract of which the Bears eat $493,400 in dead money, so only $1.2M hit to the Texans cap. Miller was recruited to Memphis as an athletic high school hurdler and had a 39" vertical at pro day (which would have put him in the top 3 at that year's combine iirc). He also ran sub 4.5 forty at the pro day. He's 5'11" 190#, so probably projects as an inside or slot receiver, but who knows that height and weight is pretty similar to Brandin Cooks. |

Makes me wonder if they knew they would most likely be trading Cobb yesterday...

....and today the Texans cut Anthony Miller.
I get rolling the dice, but yikes, seems the pro scouting department whiffed on this one. |
