Andre's frustrated for not getting enough balls thrown his way, what's up with that? [URL="http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/fb/texansfront/6035422.html"] Watching the Titans game, Schaub appeared to be focusing on AJ and either didn't hit him with the ball or he dropped it. Now, in the Jacksonville game other receivers step up and catch what's thrown to them and he's pissed. Granted he was probably demanding a double team, based on his potential, which took pressure off the other receivers; but in that format the offense looked 100% better. Personally I don't think he has room to bitch, he has a better skill set than Jerry Rice, but "he ain't no Jerry Rice". Thoughts?

It is pretty simple. He is the best player on a team that does not have a win. last week he caught three balls.
he is sick of losing. He is 28 and wants to win. He is frustrated that they are 0-3, he expected better. He is all about winning. That is about as mad as Andre gets, he must be simmering. On the other hand, he has to get open. If he is double teamed, he still has to get open. They need to figure out a way to get him the ball, they need to throw his way and not be scared of the double team. But, Andre needs to step up and make a big play. It is a vicious cycle. I think all it will take is one big play from someone, to get this team excited. I think they are waiting for something bad to happen, instead of making something positive happen. Someone needs to make a big play early Sunday. Maybe it is Mario with a blindside sack/fumble on Payton. Maybe it is Slaton with a spectacular run, or AJ with a huge catch, AD runs back a kick. If we can just get some positive momentum, then maybe, maybe, maybe they will start to believe again. The question is, who is going to sack up and take the bull by the balls.

win = happy player
texans = 0 wins he missed half of the season in which the team posted it's best record: a mediocre, middle-of-the-road, so-so, okay, not good but not bad 8-8. how long do you expect him to keep himself entrenched in crap? Quote:

2. He has never played on a winning team. 3. His first 4 years were wasted under coaches and management that were probably the worst in the league. 4. His first five years he played with David Carr 5. In all those years he kept his mouth shut, towed the company line, and didn't say anything about the ineptness of his coaching staff, management, or his quarterback. 6. This is the first time he has said anything of this nature in 7 years, if he wasn't pissed/upset I would be worried about his competitive drive. - Given all of those points, I think he deserves a little slack if he is makes a comment coming off a game where the offense did everything they could to win a game and break their losing streak, yet the defense couldn't stop the opposing team's offense one time during the 2nd half or overtime. He is a GOOD guy and team player, so don't start calling him out for making one comment about his frustration regarding being on a losing team for the past 7 years. Andre can't be too pissed the way he let 2 TD's slip though his fingers a couple of weeks ago. He wasn't thrown to too much because of that and the fact he had two, sometimes 3 defenders on him. Owens and Walter did alright though in his relief. This is the week for the whole team to breakout and play with the determination I know they are capable of. That includes the defense.

I honestly think this is the case of a reporter trying to make more of a story than there really is. I think he was expressing more disappointment with the losing than not getting the ball. He's probably pretty frustrated that he's not making the most of his opportunities either.

So, could he be calling out the defense without directly saying so? Because you can take what AJ said as being TOish (about me) or frustated with the Texans as a whole. If it's the Texans as a whole, the offense pulled their weight and the defense didn't. So maybe it was a call out.
