Default Official Texans vs. Chiefs Game Thread, 09/18/2016

The 1-0 Kansas City Chiefs visit NRG stadium this Sunday in an early game on CBS. The last time these two teams met... ummm, yeah....... The 1-0 Texans are coming off a 23-14 victory over Chicago in Week 1.

After falling behind to San Diego 24-3, the Chiefs cranked it up in the 2nd half winning in OT 33-27. Chiefs QB Alex Smith was 34/48, 363 yards, 2 TD's, 1 INT with a 97.8 rating. Spencer Ware had 11 carries for 70 yards, 1 TD and 7 receptions for 129 yards. The Chiefs have won 11 straight regular season games.

TV = CBS (channel 11 local), noon CST, Sunday 9-18-16

Announcers = Spero Dedes, Solomon Wilcots

The line = Texans by 2 to 3

Jamaal Charles is ruled out as well as both starting guards. If we can get a good interior push, we can really mess up their offense.

Wonder who would like to beat the Chiefs more, Obrien or Crennel ? Of course the Chiefs totally humiliated O'Brien and his team twice last year and fired Crennel when he was their HC.

Got no idea how this will turn out other than it should be closer than 30-0. Is this young offense ready for the challenge?

Ervin brings the kickoff back to about the Texan 16. Texan's ball.

Obrien loves to throw the ball...All that talk of a pound it out run game comes only when we are up 2-3 TDs...I don't have a problem with it though.

I just don't see how that's not a catch. I don't care who the ruling favored, it's just bad for the game when idiotic calls like that are made. It happens every week. I used to love the NBA. Now I watch maybe half an hour per season. I wonder if I'll get to that point with the NFL. I'm heading in that direction with the MLB.
