Default Official Texans vs. Jaguars Game Thread, 1/3/2016

In the final (regular season) Week 17 of NFL action, the 8-7 Texans take on the 5-10 Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday at noon at NRG stadium. The Texans seem to be a lock to win the AFC South but could use a win to help cement it.

The Jaguars are coming off 38-27 road loss to the Saints. The Texans won the first matchup between the two 31-20 back in Week 6 at Jacksonville.

All 16 NFL games on Sunday this week - no TNF or MNF but there will be SNF. FOX and CBS will both have double-headers across the nation.

-------------------------------------------------------------

TV = CBS (channel 11 local), noon, Sunday, Jan 3

Announcers = Spero Dedes, Solomon Wilcots

The line = Texans by 6 to 7

------------------------------------------------------------

Other Sunday viewing in the Houston area:

CBS (late) = San Diego @ Denver -- Jim Nantz, Phil Simms

FOX (early) = Washington @ Dallas -- Chris Myers, Ronde Barber

FOX (late) = Oakland @ Kansas City -- Kevin Burkhardt, John Lynch

SNF = Minnesota @ Green Bay, NBC

I truly believe J.Strong must've said something about BOB's mom...He is listed behind Mumphrey on the most recent depth chart...

Mumphrey is the kick returner which is how he gets the roster spot. Same thing happened with Kelvin Martin vs. Posey.

Looks like Clowney will be out again this week. That dude is a physical freak, but just cannot stay healthy.

Hopefully, he'll be back for the playoffs......

Let's see if our concussed starting QB is ready by NOT picking up the blitzing LB on our first play from scrimmage. Smart game-planning there.
