Default Fitzpatrick Trade

Is it good news or bad that the QB we got rid of has played well enough for the Jets to hit the conditions for us to get a 6th rounder instead of a 7th?

It's obviously good that we get a better pick.

But I've said since the offseason that we gave away a better QB (Fitz) to go out a sign an inferior one (Hoyer). It's depressing to know that we could have kept the QB we had and probably won the division by a few games.

Conditions were based on snap %. The original starter was out for 4 weeks, and Fitz was better than him anyway.

Don't agree with one is better than the other. Both are equally mediocre at best. Outside of the KC game, I'm not sure that the QB position has cost us a game. Neither QB's are good enough to help us win one. We saw that from Fitz last year. That's why he was benched for Mallet.

Well since it's a 6th rounder, I say we use it to draft a Tom Brady type QB in next years Draft.
Seriously every little bit helps, all adds up as they say, an we've got some descent players with our late round picks.

I know it was based on snaps. He played well enough to keep the starting job all season. This despite the fact that NYJ had nothing invested in him and had 2 young QBs they have drafted. Hoyer lost his job to a headcase that repeatedly missed meetings, practices, and flights.
