Rams RB Zac Stacy has asked to be traded after the Rams selected Todd Gurley in the first round last night. The Rams say they will try to accommodate. Perhaps we can make a straight up deal to send them DJ Swearingen. Jeff Fisher loves to have some headhunters and Stacy has some Beast Mode in him. Might be a win/win for both squads.

In Stacy's breakout rookie year he averaged 3.9 ypc. Last year he followed that up with another 3.9 ypc. There will be 10 UDFA RBs who have the talent Stcy has. He is mediocre and had a stretch of fantasy football relevance that was tied to getting carries in 2013. Nothing about that says trade target to me.
I would rather cut Swearinger or trade him for a 7th then pickup Stacy. |

I agree, not much benefit to trading for Stacy.
I think Swearinger worth more than a 7th however, maybe a third? If Swearinger goes, all four S/SS/FS from last year will be gone, didn't realize they were that bad. DJ did get some unnecessary penalties due to hard play, but he seemed to improve as year went on. I would think there might be a place for his fairly good tackling. |

I am not an Alfred Blue fan but I want to see what Polk is all about before I start trading guys just to get rid of them. I agree with barrett in that you can find late round or undrafted guys who can deliver mediocrity.
Or, you can bid a second round pick in the supplemental draft to capture you some mediocrity. That works, too. Of course, sometimes the late round and undrafted running backs turn out to be pretty good. |
