I am hoping for a trade down out of the 1st round, would like to grab an extra 3rd round pick for the drop back.

Whomever the Texans take, I expect it will be someone I didn't want. That's usually the way this works.

I hope we go defense.

So I guess this means we go offense....

Looking back at past Drafts, I remember when the Texans drafted Brown & Cushing & JJ, I was somewhat disappointed in each instance, yet I liked and was excited about the choice to draft Amobi Okoye at the time. So anyway, by now I've learned not to read too much into my own initial personal feelings about the pick on Draft day.

Possibilities...WR Justin Hunter, ILB Manti Teo, OT Manelik Watson, QB EJ Mauel, TE Zach Ertz, DT Kawan Short, CB Marcus Trufant, OT Tyron Armstead

DL in the first, WR in the second.

I do remember we passed up Derrick Johnson to draft Travis Johnson and we passed up Patrick Willis to draft Okoye. I really wanted both of those guys. Duane Brown seemed like a reach when he was taken and it seemed most of us were looking at a speed rusher from North Carolina instead of Watt.

When we drafted Kareem Jackson, I wanted a CB and he was supposedly the best on the board even though I wasn't all that solid about him. I recall half the guys wanted Clay Matthews instead of his USC teammate Cushing. Looks like you couldn't have gone wrong with either.

Yup, I wanted Derrick Johnson, Patrick Willis, and Clay Matthews. Thanks for reminding me.

The 3 OTs and Dion Jordan off the board. Do the Lions go Ansah, Cooper, Warmack, Austin, or Trufant?

Ansah off the board. Will Cleveland take a QB?

Arizona could take a QB, Austin, or an OG....

Good pick for Az. Wondering if Bufalo takes Geno Smith, a different QB, Warmack, or Tavon Austin...

Titans take a guard from Bama, that is the Watt effect in action.

Kiper's widows peak is getting more extreme. He's thinning up top. I remember when everyone thought his hair was like a helmet.

Watching ESPN at a bar with the sound off, which is fine by me. There's an Aggie in here that demanded a recount after Joekel wasn't taken first. Gee, give some folks a Heisman and they get spoiled quickly.

I wonder if the Dolphins moved up to get Oregon's Jordan because Chip Kelly was on the clock with the next pick?

Pretty dull draft so far. Big night for the big uglies. We'll need to see if the Texans continue that trend or go skill position.

So much for my Matt Schaub replacement. ;( Thought Bufalo was going after Nasib. Pretty upset now.

There goes EJ Manuel to the Bills. Hope he likes the cold and wind. Manuel throws a beautiful ball and has great escapability. I just can't figure out why he doesn't win more.
