Been tweeking and re-tweeking my board since the Senior Bowl. I like to put this out, so I can see who I would draft if given the chance to play GM. This draft doesn't have a lot of top tier players, but has so many guys at the bottom of the 1st who could go in the top of the 4th. So, I've tried to not pay too much attention to the other experts out there and just ranked them as I want them. Most likely Fisher and Johnson will be gone before we pick, but I'd be willing to trade up for either of them. I have EJ Manual, Da'Rick Rogers, and Ryan Swope a lot higher than elsewhere. Here's my list:
1 OT Eric Fisher Central Michigan 2 OT Lane Johnson Oklahoma 3 QB EJ Manuel Florida St 4 CB Desmond Trufant Washington 5 DT Sylvester Williams North Carolina 6 OT Tyron Armstead Ark Pine Bluff 7 DE Datone Jones UCLA 8 WR DaRick Rogers Tenn Tech 9 WR Ryan Swope Texas A&M 10 WR DeAndre Hopkins Clemson 11 SS Jonathan Cyprien Fla Intl 12 WR Justin Hunter Tennessee 13 DT Kawann Short Purdue 14 OLB Jamie Collins Southern Miss 15 CB Darius Slay Mississippi St 16 WR Robert Woods USC 17 CB D.J. IMO Ertz is to high. Trufant is better than Ertz, but that is just me.
Also I am not sure I can figure out who you are targeting at 27?

I'm targeting whoever is there. I can see a lot of surprises in the 1st round because of what I said about there not being much difference between 25 & 75. That's why everyone wants to trade down. Most likely, I'm guessing Ertz or Manuel would be my top prospect at @ 27

Just one more day to wait.
Roy, maybe you could say where your list might break for each round. I agree with BPA by teams board in round 1 and 2. Best if those also fill a need or if not maybe trade down if available. Due to player rank this year could be lots of trades and surprises. |

I would take any of my top 11 in the first round & be happy

No mention of Kevin Minter from LSU?
The Texans will have to draft a LB early, 2nd or 3rd round I imagine, to plug either inside or out, depending on who is available, being that Brooks Reed offers them flexability at both inside and out. I could see them targeting (hopefully) Jaime Collins in the 3rd since he also offers them the same type of flexibility as Brooks. Other possibilities are Kiko Alonso and Brandon Jenkins, though their position flexibility is somewhat more limited. |

I have Jamie Collins #16 & Cornelius Washington #17. I like Corey Lemonier #24. Also mentioned Jon Bostic, Zaviar Gooden, Sio Moore, and AJ Klein.

Mike Mayock & Gil Brandt have posted their top guys. I noted some differences of opinion on a few of "My Guys"...Mayock ranked Datone Jones # 27 & Brandt ranked him #78. Darius Slay ranked #59 & #31, Jamie Collins ranked #49 & #76. Cornelius Washington ranked #54 & 117. DJ Hayden ranked #14 & #43. David Amerson #99 & #54. So those are examples of players who are evaluated much differently.

On another subject, wonder how many QBs are going to end up being taken in the first round ? It's almost always more that anybody expects, and this year several so-called experts are saying nobody gets picked in the first round ? |

There are few blue-chip players in this draft. Joekel, Lane Johnson, Fisher, Warmack, Cooper, & Tavon Austin. The rest is anybody's guess. Jon Bostic has as much chance to be a good player as Manti Teo. Da'rick Rogers could be just as good as Cordarrelle Patterson, Tyler Bray might be as good as Geno Smith. Brandon Williams as effective as Sylvester Williams. Robert Alford or Dee Milliner. So, if you can trade down, you double your chances that at least one player pans out and you don't pay as much for your 1st pick.

But actually I don't think this years LTs are particularly talented vs their peers in recent years, whereas the 2 guards are clearly exceptional vs any year, but as we know interior OLine is not considered high-value positions (C/G). Austin looks to be the real wild-card of this draft, and there's no telling how high he might end up being taken, but looking more and more like top 10 ? He could be the player everybody thought Reggie Bush might be, or he could end being just too small to take the pounding he's gonna get in the NFL. |

Could see Geno Smith, EJ Manuel, Matt Barkley, Ryan Nasib, & Mike Glennon all being overdrafted in the 1st rund. Considering Ponder, Locker, & Tebow were 1st round picks.
