If the Texans sit at #11 with the following two players to choose from, who do you like?

Quinn no question. A OLB that can rush has more of an impact than a CB, even a shutdown CB. It's easier to game plan for a CB than a true pass threat.
Granted I am assuming that both guys will be impact players in my assessment, and I think both have a high bust potential, but IMO Quinn is a top 5 pick if he had played last season, but than I also remember that Locker would have been a top 5 pick had he gone pro last draft.

I lean towards Quinn as well as long as we bring in a top 3 FA CB.

It depends on what type of pass coverage the team is running. If it's man coverage, I think Prince is the better pick. If Wade is wanting to run a Cover 0 or Cover 1 man defense, then Prince becomes more valueable because of his superb man to man skills, it then allows Wade to run more blitz packages because he knows his back side is covered(pardon the pun). To make it easier to understand let's take the Jets,... Who's more valuable: Darrelle Revis or Calvin Pace?
Darrelle wins regardless of OLB. He free's their defense up to bring the heat from any side, in any number of blitz packages. He's priceless in their defense. On the other hand, if a team decides to use Prince in a cover zone defense(the kind the Texans ran last year), now the cornerbacks drop into specific coverage zones where they defend passes only in their assigned area. A cornerback could be taken to play zone coverage in the latter rounds. The good news is Wade likes to run a Cover 2 Man 3-4, which means the cornerbacks cover their offensive assignments one on one. Prince would be better utilized in our new system than before. But the bad news is that the Texans GM and head coach are weary about taking a CB in consecutive 1st rounds.....go figure. ![]() |

If you try long enough, you'er bound to get it right, ..right?
Or put another way, the blind hog finds the acorn once in a while! Sad but true, it seems.

Prince because finding a CB is harder in the 2nd round than getting a situational pass-rusher.
