There has been an Offensive and a Defensive assistants every year of Kubiak tenor, this was the position that Bruce Matthews held (offensive). They have additional duties of working with Special Teams coach Joe Marciano, who does not have any assistants designated to special teams solely.

This is not big news for the most part, it was only big news before when they had HOFer Matthews in the position.

From a purely selfish standpoint, that is why I wished Munch wouldn't get the job as Tack HC, because I knew his best buddy Bruce would probably join him as his offensive line coach.

In any case this team has to step it up big time in the quality of coaching assistants and getting better personnel for the team if they ever hope to get to that next level.

agree, but we did have a problem with special teams this past year and need to fix that, and these coaches seem to have special teams coaching in their background.

Problems both giving up field position when we kicked/punted or when we received the ball on returns, compared to previous years.

ie. making it easier for other team to score and making it harder for our team to score.

maybe not a big deal, but I hope these guys assisting special teams helps get back atleast where we were before

As I said in another post, there is no reason why we can't get all 3 phases of the offense and ST's running on all cylinders now, and the defense too. Kubiak should have no further excuses. or with McNair either, for that matter.

Why, because there are new coaches? Seriously?

Nope! I didn't say that. There is no reason why we can't take that next step......but maybe I should have said will we? At some point, McNair has got to wake up to the fact that this team is not on the right track. Just because his fellow owners tell him he is, doesn't make it so.
