Over heard on the radio recently

1. Miles Austin is a better receiver than AJ, because he caught 81 balls last year. Yeah, I know! The idiot held on the line for 40 minutes (he said) to say this.
2. The Texans will be lucky to go 6-10 this year, because a.) we don't have a running game, & b.) we have such a tough schedule.

~~The first comment does not deserve a response. Why argue with an idiot.

~~The second comment deserves a little more respect. The caller (an eastern sports writer), said we will have to prove to the league that Foster-Slaton-Tate can run with the ball, and Slaton must prove he is over his fumbleitus. The O-line must do a much better job of run blocking and coach Bennet must prove he can be the offensive line coach to show them the way, while preserving the excellent pass blocking of a year ago. We will have to keep Schaub healthy from game to game.

The schedule is what it is, tough or not, to go where we want to go Kubiak must get the team to believe they can do what they want to do, and go where they want to go. New players must be brought up to speed in a hurry.

Yes to the first comment, but the second must be considered, although I very much doubt the 6-10 part.

Well, I think we will do better in the run game this year, but guess who was worse than Texans in run game last year - Indianapolis and San Diego, so run game must not be a top priority to make it deep into playoffs by that stat.

Perhaps scoring once inside the 20 and not turning over the ball inside the 20 would be something we can improve on just a little and have a much better record.

On the schedule, based on last year, we have to see what happens this year, last year doesn't count going forward. We have a lot of talented guys as well, just a small improvement in consistency needed for us. And we beat some so called good teams last year. We do need to win more in our division, and we can do that - been really close , now need to finish. play complete games.

We do need to win to get the respect of all the national reporters that don't know us so well. We expect this to be the year. Every year a few teams do great that national guys weren't expecting to do so well, so we can be one of those break through teams.

That's all we know for now. we got 4 preseason games to get a better view, then after 4 regular season games maybe more confidence.

Agreed,but until we do it there will always be someone from the east saying we won't do it because we don't have this or that.
