Interesting, I didn't realize there was such a rift between M. Shanahan and A. Gibbs.

Really? Shannahan has made himself the emporer of operations in Denver. To get his way, he probably did not want anyone to challenge him, and coach Gibbs seems like someone who is going to speak his mind.

Gibbs is mad because Shanahan fired his son a couple of years ago. People get fired in this league all the time and Gibbs seems to be a little thin skinned.

Right, but if you read it there seems to be some strange 'you're son told you our game plan' aspect to it. M. Shanny fired him right after A. Gibb's team beat up on the broncos.
