well he did bring kubiak along through the 49ers and then brought him to denver to be his off....
...oh, hiiiiii kyyyyyle.... behind kubiak and gibbs, i'd say probably not much.

While I agree that Kubiak should get most of the credit for the offense's improvement this year, I'm not so sure Gibbs should be getting more than Shanahan at this point. I mean, the guy is primarily responsible for the offensive line and the running game. The running game hasn't been gang-busters this year, and that's with a promising, quick rookie that we didn't have last year. Pass blocking has improved, but not dramatically, I would say. I think the reduction in sacks over the last few weeks can be attributed to play calls that get the ball out of the quarterbacks hands faster more than anything. That's not to say Gibbs is doing a good job, but the biggest reason this offense is succeeding is the passing game. I'd be very curious to find out how much freedom Kyle is given as far as playcalling/game-planning goes.

Gibbs system usualy gets better as the season progresses.
