That's not a great idea, but it's not the worst idea unless you pay one of those journeymen $72 million and then have to spend a 2nd round pick to get rid of him.

I used to gamble a bit (still do but not with real money). One philosophy was you have to play (bet) in order to win (cash). Another philosophy was "I'm not playing so I don't lose". See the conundrum?

So you're saying in the NFL you either get a QB or you fold your franchise because it's pointless to play? I agree.
