Who's to say we can't also be that blind squirrel who finds a nut in the next NFL Draft ? Got to remain optimistic.
For one, Dallas seems to suck and then somehow, 'miraculously', get better within a few years and challenge for a Super Bowl time and time again. That would not be the organization I would compare the Texans to, it's not even close. I can't stand Dallas and Jerry Jones, but I wish we had half their 'luck' and an owner that at least cared about what he puts on the field (not in is pocket) and had half his senses. Second, what in the world makes you think this organization will stumble upon that lucky "nut" anytime soon? Other than JJ, they haven't stumbled upon a lucky nut in 15 years. The only nut we have is the one that owns this franchise.

Much like the Texans the Cowboys have been fairly mediocre in recent years
and I don't remember them challenging for a Super Bowl since the 20th century but this century they've been very Texans-like, pretty average.

Despite not wining a Super Bowl, and despite this w/Dak, I'd take the Tony Romo-lead Cowboys history over this franchise's 15 year history any day of the week. And believe me, it pains me to say that.

Getting Clowney back will make a tremendous difference. The pass rush was non-existent in Green Bay without him.

Aaron Rodgers had all day to wait for a receiver to get open, and his big score came when the Texans' worst DB Charles James slipped in the snow.

I suppose Clowney was held out so the team could hope he was fresh to win the next game which matters far more.

Clowney was able to play and wanted to play. I guess the team's considering the game against a shit Green Bay team unwinnable says all you need to know.

The Texans are a pathetic, gutless organization.

How the team and Clowney have interacted since he was drafted is strange, on all fronts. Just odd at times, Sunday's just the latest. Odd comes from poor management.

Charles James was just cut, essentially scapegoated. He has always been a special teams guy, every time he was pressed into performing as a DB was a disappointment. Still, covering Packer WRs in the snow for 10+ seconds because of zero pass rush is a tough task for anyone. That said, from the point where JJo left the game, the Packers seemed suddenly able to pass the ball downfield.

It disgusts me that Charles James was scapegoated like that. Sure, he wasn't very good as a corner - he was OK as a special teamer - but he's your fifth CB FFS and he slips in the snow after following one of the better receivers in the league around for fifteen seconds and suddenly it's all his fault. Right.

Texans are 6-6 for the 3rd year in a row and currently on a 3 game losing streak. Under OB's regime, they've never lost 4 in a row. They had one other 3 game losing streak in 2014 (Dallas, Indy, Pit). Obviously, next Sunday would be a good time to snap the losing streak....

-----------------------------------------

I'll take yesterday's Brock over some of the other versions. For the most part, he was getting the ball out and in the general vicinity of the receiver. Drives were failing because a banged up L Miller had 14 carries/22 yards among other things. Dropped ball here, bad play call there... The defense picked a bad time to give up a 98 yard drive... Hope Charles James' socks business is doing well because he's going to need it soon..

------------------------------------------

I'm not calling the players losers, the owner a greedy bastard or the coaches idiots, yet, but give it time. I'm still on the 9-7 train until that changes...
