Elo ratings, a simple system that estimates each team’s skill level using only the final scores and locations of each game
The average NFL team has an ELO rating of 1500. The Texans currently have a rating of 1535. #1 is Seattle with 1664. The Texans highest rating ever was 1685 - Week 13, 2012 right after defeating the Titans 24-10. The Texans fell off the cliff after that game and are still recovering....

They have the Texans with a 86% chance to win the division and a 20% chance to get a first round bye. Curiously, they have the Texans vs. Oakland game as a coinflip - 50:50.

Video - At least one person likes the Texans to cover the spread. TRT = 5:56
