A bit of funny business going on with the spread..... Jags now favored by 2.5.
Takes big money to move the line so it looks like the sharps/syndicate bettors love the Jags for some reason.... If I had to guess, it's a situational thing: Texans lousy road team, Jags showing improvement, Texans somewhat banged up.....plus, there may be some other long term metrics/trends that are pointing to the Jags.... Frankly, I don't see it.... Texans have had 2 weeks to prepare and the Jags haven't proven much of anything, yet. I'm on the Texans....still, this might be a game where everything goes wrong.....

End of the 1st qtr. ------------------------------------------ On 2nd and 3 at their 27, Yeldon gets 5 and the 1st down. Yeldon dodges his way for 5 yards. 2nd and 5 coming up. Pass at the sideline gets sniffed out for a loss of 1. Nice tackle, McKinney. Pass to Lee over the middle goes for 18. Ball at the Texan 45. Ivory sweeps right for no gain but a flag is down..... holding on Jags, -10. Makes it 1st and 20. Pass to Robinson gets 11. Pass ricochets off the receivers foot and is INT'ed by Mercilus! Texan's ball at the Jag 49.

Nice catch on the errant pass by Dhop. Gain of 8.
Blue powers for 5 and the 1st down. Pass to B Miller off the mark, inc. Blue caught for loss of 3. 3rd and 13 coming up. Texans use a timeout (#2). ----------------------------------------------- On 3rd and 13 at the Jag 39, pass to Dhop along the sideline draws the PI but the Texans get caught for hands to the face. Offsetting, replay the down. Pass to Fido gets 7......... Texans to go for the FG. Novak's 49-yarder peels off wide left, no good. Score remains: Texans 14, Jags 7 9 minutes left in the half.
