L Miller for 6.
L Miller for maybe 1. Brings up 3rd and 3. Beauty of a catch by Fuller for big gainer along the sideline. Ball at the Bear 24. L Miller for 4. Jump ball in the end zone for Fuller falls inc. Brings up 3rd and 6. Goodness, pass in the end zone to DHop off his fingers, inc. Texans to go for the FG. Novak's 38-yarder is good. Texans 23, Bears 14 6:10 left in the game. |

Osweiller sure throws a great deep ball. He has been average on everything else, but the deep ball is beautiful. Too bad for him Fuller and Hopkins have dropped TDs.
Fuller is definitely a stud though. The speed is a real weapon. He runs by guys without moves. The YAC is something I didn't expect though. I can put up with occasional drops if he is that big a weapon. Now they just need to close it out. |

I will say a lot of young receivers come into the league with the dropsies... some get over it, some don't. I guess we'll see which one he becomes..... Texans might end the day in 1st place in the AFC South.... |

For the first time in a few years, I'm working on Sunday afternoons so I can't comment until that night or the next day. The browser will let me read your comments at work but won't let me reply
![]() The early game looked like the same Texan nightmare we see in our sleep - pass interference on Kareem, offensive holding on everyone, extending their drives and killing ours. Now we add the deep ball drop by Jacoby Jones, er, I mean Will Fuller. Sucks that Cushing is hurt yet again (and will probably be joining Duane Brown on the waiver wire next spring for cap reasons). But the pass rush does look sweet when we get J.J., Clowney and Mercilus on the field at the same time. I could see the Bears didn't know who to double-team. Ozzie's corkscrew delivery looked scary. Seemed to put the ball right on the money though - just with no touch. Good thing Beanie and Cecil (aka Nate Washington and Cecil Shorts III) aren't around to drop those passes, leaving more for our TEs and Fuller to drop. But the Bears are sort of like the NFC's version of the Bills - a team you ought to beat if you don't beat yourself and that's eventually what happened. 1-0 and alone in first (thanks, NFC North) is just the right way to start the season. Now to get our revenge on the Chiefs. |

4:45 left in the game.
Taunting penalty on the previous punt places the ball at the Texan 24. L Miller for 2. 2nd and 8 coming up. Timeout Texans (one left). L Miller for 2 more. Brings up 3rd and 6. Bears use a timeout (one left). 4 minutes left in the game. Pass to Griffin good for the 1st down at the Texan 41. Texans use their final timeout. L Miller for maybe 2. Bears use their last timeout. 2nd and 8 coming up. L Miller for almost 3. On 3rd and 8, deep pass to Fuller too long, inc. Texans to punt with 2:06 left in the game. Bears fair catch the punt at their 21 yard line. Bear's ball. Last edited by Arky; 09-11-2016 at 03:10 PM. |

Cutler pressured by Watt but still gets it out for an incompletion. On 2nd and 10, Cutler pressured again and throws it away, inc. 23 seconds left in the game. Cutler's pass over the middle sails inc. 4th and 10 coming up. Cutler's deep pass nearly INT'ed by JJo but inc. Texans will sit on it with 10 seconds left in the game. Final score: Texans 23, Bears 14 Well, OK. Won a game they shoulda won.... |
