Bad news about Clowney. Sounds like he's out again. He was playing pretty good, against the run and he was getting some pressure on the QB, even though no sacks. Hope he gets back sometime this year. Wonder about Xaviar if there's any chance he shows up at LG in South FLA this Sunday ? |

FWIW Texans depth chart shows him and Joseph as the starting corners, with no mention of him at either safety spot. |

Bet the house, boys!
The Texans have never lost a regular-season game against Miami in their history. |

We have a tendency to make average QBs look fantastic. However, I have been really pleased with Kevin Johnson. He has had a few iffy plays but for the most part he looks better than Kareem. I don't know if it's the scheme or what but Kareem has been beaten a lot this year IMO.
Concerning the pass rush either Jacksonville is REALLY REALLY bad or Clowneys not ready to start. I'm still not sure yet. Maybe both. We seemed to get more pressure and were more sound in our gap integrity against the run. Granted they didn't have their starting tailback playing. This is a toss up game for me...inconsistent offense has the potential to play really well or really bad. And defense has just been bad to start games. So we'll know by the end of the 1st qtr what team will show up. More importantly we will know who this team really is. |

Against Jacksonville I thought the Covington - Dunn combination was a lot more productive than the Wilfork - Crick combination.
