Anyway we are just one game out of first place in our division. Honestly I don't have any idea what's gonna happen Thursday night when the Colts are in town. Hey hope springs eternal as they say. I'm actually looking forward to the game because I don't know who will show up ? I guess OBrien will start Hoyer, but then he may pull him before the game is half over ? I really want to like O'Brien and I do like him, but he's looking shaky with some of these snap decisions.
I also think very highly of O'Brien. That is being tested right now. We've been unprepared twice this year in ways that make me doubt a little his gameday coaching chops after a year that made me a huge believer. And his total lack of a QB plan makes me think he's no better than Smith as a personnel guy. Smith has actually been worse partnering with O'Brien in the draft than he was with Kubiak.

So I still think O'Brien is a good/possibly great NFL coach. He still hasn't made a move that kills his future because he has avoided making any moves at QB. But I feel like he should have bottomed us out last year rather than this year. People would have accepted getting rid of the vets, clearing the cap, and winning 4 games last year. I think doing it this year is going backwards.
