Default Post Draft UDFA Signings

Quote:
@TonyPauline: Houston Texans have signed Lynden Trail/DE-OLB/Houston Texans as a UDFA.
He might be better than any of our Day3 picks. Surprised he wasn't drafted, actually.

Teams are signing players left and right but very few reports on the Texans so far. This is only one I could find on Twitter.

Here's a list:

Drummond jumps out at me. Need to dig and look into the rest.

Nice. Trey Williams is a KR option.

Drummond could win a spot at safety.

Mancz was as high as a 4th rounder on some draft boards.

Tony Washington was on some mock boards.

The others don't ring a bell but you never know.

Lynden Trail, Greg Mancz, and Kurtis Drummond should make the roster. IMHO.

Williams brings a different skill set than the other RBs on the roster so it'll be interesting to see if he can parlay that into a role for himself in the offense. He didn't return punts in college so if he's going to make it as a specialist he's probably going to have to show that he can do that too.

Some background on Trail: http://mmqb.si.com/2015/02/25/lynden-trail-nfl-draft/#

I know he's the long shot of long shots, but the QB, Kevin Rodgers, seems really interesting to me too. Wishful thinking, but maybe we can find lightning in a bottle and he can become 80% the QB another QB with that same namesake is.

As for Trail, one link I clicked on had a video interview with him. Very well spoken kid. Looking at his film, he has the Mario Williams body-type. Lets hope JJ can get him in the weight room and make a monster out of him.

Speaking of Kevin Rodgers of Henderson State, has anyone signed his former teammate, UDFA WR Darius Davis?

49ers, who have done a lot to overhaul their WR corp.

Man, Kaepernick should have some targets. They got the Georgia Tech kid too.

Trey Williams signed with the Redskins. Obviously a contract trumps a tryout.
