I read an article about him (which I can't find now) a while back. He hit his head on the ground, while wearing a helmet, when he fell during a drill in minicamp. Afterwards for weeks he suffered from headaches and short-term memory loss (he couldn't remember things like plays or snap counts) and both the Cardinals team doctor and one who he went to for a second opinion told him he needed to hang it up. He's now back at A&M finishing his degree and helping out with the football team on what I believe is an informal basis.
