I'll probably have to watch this here a little more closely as this new site gains in popularity, but for now, early adopters should be getting in with ease. Back on topic... I wonder what Gibbs' hiring means to the team with guys like Steve McKinney and Fred Weary on the outside looking in. Both seem like candidates to jump back on the roster before camp, yet as the saying goes - so close and yet so far away. Both have injury concerns, but it would be interesting to see how these two vets adapt to Gibbs if brought back. |

Gibbs had a stint in Atlanta and I don't remember him making any Pro-Bowlers out that OL or making them a top unit in the league. If I recall, didn't Gibbs sign a 1yr contract? It's a good move, but it still takes talent.

They also had RBs that would pretty much put any of ours on the bench.

Slaton is very Norwood like and Dunn is at the end of his career and has lost a step. It's not like they had Eric Dickerson back there.

They didn't get a lot of mainstream press attention, but while they (and Gibbs) were in Atlanta, Kevin Shaffer and Kynan Forney were highly regarded by some of the sites I frequented. After the switch in schemes Forney wasn't as effective and Shaffer hasn't been nearly as good in Cleveland either. As for top unit, I think up until Petrino tried to switch to a power scheme last year, Atlanta's line was one of the better units in the league, as evidenced by very high yards per carry for their backs. Some of that was the threat of Vick, but I think a lot of it was also scheme.
