Texans do nothing on first possession of second half. Punt to the Lions who hold on the return.

That was hilarious. I can't bring myself to feel bad about it.

Lions drive for a FG to make it 24-14 but now Forsett gallops to a long TD to pull Houston within 24-21.

Texans force a three-and-out then move down the field with Graham booting a 45-yd FG to tie the score. It's 24-24 for the third tie of the day. 2 minutes left in the third quarter (or "corter" as Marc Vandemeer says).

That's what a hothead coach of a hothead team does. He's got at least a minute to throw that flag if it was a challenge situation. Instead he throws it in 4 seconds, without seeing a replay, without consulting his coaches upstairs, and in an illegal situation.

The Lions roar back for a touchdown capped off with a 23-yd run. With the extra point, it's 31-24 Lions with 13 minutes in regulation. Could there be OT twice within five days?

A timely sack leads to a short punt or Detroit might have gone up by two scores.

Still 31-24 Detroit in the fourth.

This is two straight games the Texans have allowed their opponents 30+ points.

Another bad drive. I've got to go to a family thing now and miss the end. Maybe that will change their luck.

We are in overtime. Lions just completed 40 yd pass.

Looks like Manning forced a fumble covered by Sharpton.

Now any score by Texans wins.

Lets hope kubiak is losing faith in graham and on our next possession we keep moving the ball when we hit "FG" range.

Grahms 51 yarder wide left by a foot.

Mc Cain almost gets interception but ball hit the ground.

Detroit punt downed on 9 yard line

Lots of tired players.

Hanson on for 47 yd attempt.

TO called by Houston.

Hit goal post, no good.

Nice drive by Texans for first down on 11.

Texans to barely make FG for win 34-31.

Wow.

Two 4Q comebacks and OT wins in 5 days.

Now a 10 day rest , well deserved.

A healthy Jonathon Joseph is the most important thing to our defense. He has not been as good as Watt this year, but we can duplicate/replace what we get from Watt easier than what we get from Joseph. We really need him and AJ healthy in the playoffs.

With that said, I didn't think Alan Ball played bad (especially by Alan Ball standards). I just thought it was a dumb idea to have Ball follow CJ around the filed with little safety help. The 2nd half we abandoned that plan and gave up 10 points in 40+ minutes.

Our pass rush has been downright anemic at points this season. I was happy to see mercilous on the field even if he didn't do much more. He just seems to have the most ceiling of the edge guys. Plus it gives us a chance to see Braman at some point (a curiosity for me).

With that said I am sad to see Reed go down (and Dobbins and James). Our defense is wounded right now and needs all of these 10 days to rest up and get healthy. With that said, great job in OT by a banged up, wore down, tired group. When guys like Ruud and Ball make plays it makes you feel great about the level of coaching our guys receive. Even Brandon Harris got on the field and though I didn't notice him after that, that's good for a CB. I truly feel like any player we draft will succeed simply because of the way they'll be coached and supported.

Jim Schwartz deserves to be fired for this one. Too much talent on the Lions to be 4-7. Kinda reminds me of the Texans a couple years ago but on the other side of the coin when the team chose to retain a cooler-headed Gary Kubiak.

Schwartz is a fake tough guy, just like his team.

The funniest thing is that his fight with Harbaugh started last year when he yelled across the field that harbaugh didn't know the rules because he had thrown a challenge flag when it wasn't allowed.
