Berman -

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - In need of adding a fullback to the roster, the Houston Texans traded cornerback Sherrick McManis to the Chicago Bears for Tyler Clutts.

In 2011, Clutts only season in the NFL, he played in 16 games for the Bears, starting eight.

He didn't have any carries last year, but caught eight passes for 48 yards.

Before signing as a free agent with Chicago, he spent time on the Cleveland Browns practice squad in 2010 and 2011.

Prior to that Clutts was in the CFL (2008-09), UFL (2011) and the AFL (2011).

McMannis was the Texans' fifth round pick in 2010.

He played in 23 games for Houston, nine last season with no starts.

McManis had his only career interception two years ago.

The Texans also released 19 players on Friday:

DE Keith Browner

OLB D.J. Bryant

NT Hebron Fangupo

RB Jonathan Grimes

NT David Hunter

WR Juaquin Iglesias

OLB Delano Johnson

QB Case Keenum

DE Mitch King

OT Nathan Menkin

OLB Rennie Moore

FB Moran Norris

SS Eddie Pleasant

TE Phillip Supernaw

C Cody Wallace

G Cody White

The Texans still have three more moves to make, along with establishing a practice squad.

Actually, only 2 more moves due to Butler going to IR.
