That won't be the case this time around. Even still, this is a very winnable game. As chuck said, they just need to play smart, not give the football away, and keep DMC in check as best they can.
Great point, but its not like we haven't been down this road before. As best I can recall, we still moved the ball rather decently without AJ last year, so there is a good possibility that we can again.

Of course last year, we couldn't stop ANYONE from moving it on us.....tale of two seasons I suppose.

KW was thrown a short one over the middle, but was incomplete.

Kubes has already said JJ will start, and Bryant would be #3.

Unless he is out for over a month, I don't see a roster move coming, not with the TE arsenal we have.
Just maybe........the reason Schaub didn't throw to them is that JJ has no hands, and Walter can't get separation?

TEs can't do the things that WRs can.

Here is current injury report with analysis from Raider perspective.

Looks like they may be missing some CB's which might in some way help our WR's? And perhaps missing their FB, not sure if that bothers McFadden running or not.

Al Davis died today at 82. The Raiders will dedicate the game to him.

They will definitely play more inspired, something we really didn't need with AJ and Tate on the mend...

R.I.P. Al Davis

I agree. An otherwise normal NFL game is now going to be turned into a "tribute" game although I'm glad that at least it is in our house and not in Oakland. The next opponent who has to go into Oakland is the one who is going to wish they hadn't. With any luck, that will be the Chargers.

I would have agreed with you before I heard ND Kalu this morning. He had some good info on this very subject, and while the coach may use this in his pregame bit, that all ends after about the 2nd play. He said most of the players didn't know Al, especially this newer group since he hasn't been around with his failing health. He made an analogy between the players and the owners relationship to that of a janitor in a fortune 500 company. He said the players will say the right things while the mic is in their face, but at the end of the day. It won't affect the game much. If at all.

We shall see.
