Default Butler Re-signed

No details yet, but saw this tweet from Jabba. Pretty surprising to me that this got done.

@McClain_on_NFL
John McClain Texans have just agreed to new contract with their OT Rashad Butler

I was just coming over here to post this. This is one of the better signings we have done so far.

Huge insurance policy for the offense. Nice to see, after the earlier doubt about resigning our swing tackle.

Not too bad of terms, if they end up being accurate:

@RavensInsider
Aaron Wilson OT Rashad Butler re-signs with Houston Texans for two years, $3.8 million, $1.25 million bonus, per a source. He chose Texans over Redskins.

Great contract for a very solid backup at two positions. Glad to see it didn't cost us much, especially with so much unused cap floating around the league.

Awesome. This guy can play. When Brown gets suspended or Winston needs time off to complete his book tour Butler is a more than capable fill-in. He's Salaam but younger and better.

This might be the most important vet that reupped with the Texans, including Vonta ? I thought Butler practically guaranteed he wouldn't be a Texan again, and was maybe headed to Washington to play for former Texans' coach little Shaney ? Anyway, this is an important guy to keep, so well done
Rick Smith and crew for getting him to stay in Houston.
