Grier is responsible for pro scouting, not college scouting, so draft returns aren't directly part of the equation...but I see your point. Also, the success of the draft has made some pro player decisions look worse (like Mario vs. Weaver, for example).

We focus so much on college scouting, I just think our pro player scouting has been below average aside from a few "street" FAs like Andre Davis, Will Demps, and Anthony Maddox.
