Plus he sacked Sam Bradford.

I'm looking at Jimmy Smith and thinking he needs to be a Texan.

Some JJ Watt Analysis from NFL.com- looks pretty good
Height:6'5"
Weight:290 lbs.
Arm Length:34 in.
Hand Size:11 1/8 in.
College:Wisconsin

In the 2010 season, Watt finished the regular season with 59 tackles, seven sacks, two fumble recoveries, and an interception.[1] Watt was the 2010 recipient of the Ronnie Lott Award and was one of six finalist's for the Ted Hendricks Award

Pick Analysis: Wade Phillips' defense is predicated on bringing a pressure off the edges, but a strong interior presence is needed to make it happen. Watt is an ideal five-technique with the strength and power to dominate offensive tackles at the point of attack. He not only improves Houston's rush defense but gives them another high-motor player to incorporate into the pass rush.

Combine Stats
40 Yard Dash4.84 Time
Bench Press 34.0 Reps
Vertical Jump 37.0 Height
Broad Jump 120.0 Distance
3 Cone Drill 6.88 Time
20 Yard Shuttle 4.21 Time

After hearing McClain discuss his baggage, I don't think so. What a waste of talent.

Possibly, but don't see it with our choir boy mentality.

Could be Williams, Dowling, or Harris.

OR, and IMO preferrably, an OLB. Brooks Reed, Justin Houston come to mind.

[QUOTE=Roy P;24988]I think I might have been good with taking Phil Taylor to play NT instead of Watt QUOTE]

The Browns get the NT.

The Colts get an OL.

I'm cool with any of those choices....so it's going to be somebody else.

Wouldn't be a Texans draft if they picked someone we all liked.......

It'll be somebody like LB Mason Foster or Kelvin Sheppard

Maybe going with the build from inside - out theory, so

If we happen to go for an OLB in rnd 2 or 3, here are a few to consider

Justin Houston Georgia 6'3" 267 lbs
40: 4.57 Bench: 30 Vert: 36.5" Arm: 34 1/2"
Round Prediction: First Round

Brook Reed Arizona 6'3" 263 lbs
40: 4.66 Bench: 30 Vert: 30.5" Arm: 32 1/4"
Round Prediction: First Round

Jabaal Sheard Pittsburgh 6'3" 264 lbs
40: 4.66 Bench: DNP Vert: 31" Arm: 33 1/2"
Round Prediction: Second Round

Sam Acho Texas 6'2" 262 lbs
40: 4.63 Bench: 23 Vert: 33.5" Arm: 33.5"
Round Prediction: Second Round to Third Round

Chris Carter Fresno State 6'1" 248 lbs
40: 4.66 Bench: DNP Vert: 36" Arm: 33"
Round Prediction: Second Round to Third Round

Dontay Moch Nevada 6'1" 248 lbs
40: 4.45 Bench: DNP Vert: 42" Arm: 33"
Round Prediction: Third Round

I didn't want Prince either but that Watt pick did surprise me. Rick said he would go for best player available instead of need and obviously Fairley was the best available.... I wasn't sold on Prince after I watched his highlights against OSU.

There has been a lot of talk lately that Fairley has come across as a guy who will mail it in a lot of the time once he gets the big check.

Watt? We take another DL in the first round? I think the Texans want a D-unit with 11 DLs and no DBs.

Repeat after me: "We must get to Peyton Manning..."

That's the benefit of having Suh on the roster. Fairley won't be allowed to 'mail it in' next to Suh.

Yeah, he's supposed to be on-par with Peterson talent-wise but three failed drug tests (including one for codeine), an arrest for assault, and multiple impregnations are scaring off even the less risk-averse teams.

? With Suh on roster, he could mail it in a quarter of the time and no one would notice.

Cam Heyward goes to the Steelers. I would trade them Watt for him right now.

My thoughts exactly.......

I would have much rather preferred Fairly at end if we were gonna stay put.
