Is this guy ever going to get banned? I mean, I remember when I first started here I got a warning message from Keith just for posting my comments in bold and yet this guy keeps getting personal with the name calling and no one seems to notice but me. Are there even ppl moderating on these boards?

Maybe you shouldn't renew your tickets for next year.

Besides, it's not like having season tickets makes you more of a fan. What kind of bullshit is that.

Their handling of Foster is not one of the many things you can knock this team for. They put more into him and believed more in him that 31 other NFL teams, so I am fine with it taking until game 15 last year for an undrafted rookie to win a starting job. He is a clear success story for the front office and coaching staff.

And hopefully he is one of the solid pieces that are put to great use by a new staff next year. Maybe then he won't be buried in the 4th quarter of a close game like he was last night and has been previously.

And I love how Chuck goes to the "financial committment" card at least once a year to show how great a fan he is. I wonder if he defines how much he loves his kids by how many presents are under the tree or if it's only in sports that "real" means spending money.

I thought it was time to drag that out again seeing as I hadn't made that assertion in at least a year. I did it mainly for you because I knew you would enjoy it particularly.

And cadams if you pm me your email address I'll be happy to send you a couple of scanned pages from my passport to give you an idea of how many trips I make. I am 100% serious that I live abroad and come back for games. And I don't claim that this makes me a better fan. I claim two things, one, I spend more money than the average fan (and by extension that might explain some of my periodic outrage) and two, I am an idiot.

I vote for banning people who put silly, juvenile game score images in their signature.

i do appreciate it chuck. I feel like your random "financial committment" comments to be very helpful in helping me mark the seasons, especially since our houston trees don't change colors.

I can always count on a complaint about the lack of scoreboards or something similar to let me know the Texans season is dead and they have officially wasted another year of my time.

I would never begrudge anyone their coping technique. And yours at least seems healthier than the guy last week who put a whole in his wall.

Well, maybe, up to the point where I cross the line and become verbally abusive to other board members. I've apologized privately to the member in question and I'll apologize to everyone now. There is a clear difference between one's venting one's frustrations regarding the team's performance and lashing out at a fellow board member for no real reason. I'm guilty of the latter and I apologize. One reason I participate here and on no other Texans board is because the quality of the conversation here is generally quite high, and I recognize that a descent into uncivil exchanges is a fantastic way to damage that.

And if I finally follow through on my threat not to renew my tickets I won't have that financial ax to grind next year so you'll have to find another Swallows of Capistrano to let you know it's late fall.

Well, clearly it is at least as healthy as my method, taking sarcastic potshots across all active threads.

I willl simply have to focus the rest of my hate for the season on Kubiak. I like the guy but hate the coach. So here's to us losing the rest of our games to make sure Bob McNair doesn't decide to leave well enough alone.

thanks chuck. as we all know, it's ok to say the team is run by assholes, unless they post on this board, then you can't call them assholes here in the forums.

Reminds me of a time I was in a prayer group with a young pastor, a dentist with a thriving practice and a few other men. When it came time for prayer requests the dentist once spoke up "I'd like you to pray about my financial situation." and the pastor interjected "that we might all have it?"
