http://www.nfl.com/players/markander...e?id=AND355961

played for Alabama with Demeco, had 12 sacks in 2006 and just so, so since this. Started one game this year for Chicago and then cut this week.

6'4, 257 lbs, 27 years old.

Hope the scenery change is good for him and Texans.

with Anderson and Cushing coming on this week, wonder who they might be releasing.

Denny was cut when they picked up Anderson, but they still have to drop one more guy to make room for Cushing to play on Sunday. Who that might be is question.

Most likely that will be Greenhouse, who should clear waivers and then be placed back on the practice squad.

Side note, Shelley Smith was waived last weekend to make room for Greenhouse on the active roster, Smith has been signed to the practice squad.

I expect the team to cut Salaam when Brown's suspension is over and then Smith will be promoted back to the regular roster.

Oh the dangers of being one of the bottom of the roster guys.

While I do appreciate the aggressiveness the Texans have exhibited attempting to replace Barwin, I can't help but think Jamison was the best solution out of all these guys... and, I think he's gone elsewhere, though I do not know where.

I was just at the Texans website. Maybe someone can figure out who I may not be thinking about. I counted 54 players listed on the roster. Cushing is listed. Denney is still listed, but Anderson is not yet listed. After those updates, it appears there will still be one spot available with Cush being active.

Because they have a roster exemption for Cush, they technically don't have to release anyone until Saturday.

So in effect sounds like they can carry a 54-man roster until Saturday when Cushings exemption expires ?

They are trying to see which guys get healthy by Saturday so they can have a a strong special teams. It appears Sharpton is going to be available so that may mean Greenhouse goes back to the PS.

If Cushing is one of the 54 I counted and still has his exemption at this point, then that would mean there are 2 roster spots available. When Cushing's exemption expires on Saturday, there will still be one spot available.

You might be thinking the roster can carry 55, but its 53.

So, right now with Cushing being 54, they are one over, not two under.

I was a little surprised they cut Jamison as well.

Perhaps Anderson will do well here.

You're right, I was thinking it was 55 for some reason. Never mind.

It would be nice if Smith were to step up and have a good game if Mario is laid up. Kubiak says this will be a very physical game. I hope it will be for us and not so much for them.

IMO, it will have to be for us if we are to win. If they start knocking us around ....... we are toast. If we can out punch them, we will win. Kind of like the Titanic and Jags games.
