better than what we have and then bump Brown or Winston inside. We need another back or 2, but we can one or more in the second or third or later rounds. Or sign an undrafted rookie like we did last year. |

No, the defense went from one of the worst to one of respect last year. I still think the first pick needs to be either a FS (Earl Thomas), or one of the better CB's, which could be one of several. RB with the second pick and DT with the 3rd. From the fourth on down it could be Olinemen.

Haynesworth is a cancer. Last Christmas the Redskins moved their practice time up so the team could get home early to be with their families. Haynesworth didn't like that so he protested by showing up over an hour late and urging his teammates to do the same. If the Texans show signs of crumbling down the stretch again, Haynesworth's brand of leadership isn't going to help them pull it together.
Maybe that's worth putting up with when he plays like has when the carrot of big $$$ is hanging in front of him, but based on his history (including 2009) there's no reason to believe the dominant Haynesworth would show up in Houston. |

I don't think the Moss situation is comparable because the 2010 Texans aren't the 2007 Patriots. The Pats had Belichick, Brady, and a bunch of other guys with Super Bowl rings, and could realistically offer Moss a shot at a ring of his own. The Texan players and coaches haven't earned the same respect as winners (and when Haynesworth was with the Titans he made it clear he does not respect Schaub) and are hoping to make the playoffs for the first time.
I also find it very telling that Shanahan inherited a roster full of holes yet is willing to part with a player as talented as Haynesworth relatively cheaply. |

Its plain ans simple.... if you want the best players on your team you gotta pay up. If they dont want to trade for Haynesworth because of the remaining contract then they can settle for their mediocre DTs on the roster.

I'd love to have the motivated Haynesworth in the fold. That version would obviously be a major updgrade to anything we have now. However, I think it speaks volumes that no one (not even egomanics like Belichick, Ryan, Jerry Jones, Parcells, etc.) has made a serious offer for him. NFL insiders probably know a few more things about him and/or the contract that we don't.

Heard Chris Mortenson on Mike & Mike this morning say that he wouldn't be surprised if Oakland traded Darren McFadden today. That would be a nice get for this team...
