Actually, you can make a pretty good argument that the first pick of the 2nd round is actually worth considerably more than the last pick of the 1st. While the last pick in the 1st only gives you 10 minutes to swing a deal, the first pick in the 2nd gives you overnight to work a trade. Teams will have a chance to regroup overnight, see who's still available, and then fashion a trade if there is someone they want.
