Kubiak comes near to giving me apoplexy, but with the help of a couple of shots, I got through it. Yeah, a win is a win but do we have to do it the way we DO?

Coming into this weekend, we were one game behind Baltimore and Denver with two games to play. We don't hold any of the tiebreakers so we have to rely on one or both of them losing in the final two weeks and for us to win our games.

Even if we get everything we want this weekend, we still need for either the Ravens or Broncos to lose next week while we beat the Patriots. But even if we don't make the playoffs, if we beat the Patriots we will have our first winning season, close with a four-game winning streak and have found some playmakers for next year. We have to figure out how to be more consistent but we've got the personnel to be a winner if we can shore up the o-line and the secondary (and find a good second running back because you need one in the NFL).

What a great first half of football. Frank Bush has really done a good job with this defense. The staff will need to figure out how to put 60 minutes of football together. Oh yeah, Brian Cushing should not only be ROY, he should be in the Probowl.

Congrats to the Texans for a really-big-win !
I definitely had my doubts that they could pull it off down in south FLA, but that outstanding first half gave them enough of a lead to hold off the charging 'Phins in the second half.
Monday morning, really the whole week is so much more enjoyable after a win on Sunday.

BTW - thoughts about rookie running back Arian Fosters performance yesterday ? He had virtually a 100-yard game with a 5 something yard-per-carry average.
Who does he remind you of if anybody ?
But I think it's just another example of Kubiaks "backs are a dime a dozen" philosophy and I doubt he uses more than a third-round pick in Aprils Draft on a back ?

It was a nice win and definitely keeps our slim playoff hopes going.

We may indeed have a good running back in Arian Foster. Seems he knows how to run, catch , block, and can break big runs as well as tough yardage.

We need to play a full game at the same tempo as we did in the first half, if we are to beat NE.

This is the truth. NE will NOT be sitting the starters. They will be playing for seeding level that they need.
