Last weekend I watch the UH vs. Tulane game as I have been fortunate enough to watch all but the UTEP game thi fall. The announcers were not our regular announcers and they absolutely gushed over Case Keenum. They were sure he had the quickest release since Dan Marino, his arm was a cannon, he had high accuracy and he was very cool under fire. Oh, and I believe they thought he had the 'IT' factor of very good professional quarterbacks.
That begs the inevitable question of what is going to be his draft value in the upcoming draft or the next (not sure)? I have watched him and to me (don't know nothing) he looks pretty good. My question is "Is the system making him or is he making the system" ? |

Yeah, as a Jr., looks like he's heading up the draft boards and getting lots of recognition.

Unless he turns out to be a Drew Brees clone, his height of only 6' will go against him in the NFL. Oh, he will be drafted, I'm sure, just not a first rounder.

Is it purely tools that make everyone like Snead. His performance has been bad this year in particular and he has never completed more than 56% of his passes. Everything I have always heard is that accuracy is a skill that can't really be taught.
I just don't get all the hype over a guy who has completed 54% of his passes with 26 interceptions in his last 20 games. And Locker is a guy who seems to have the physical skills to fit our offense, but he also is a guy who has never completed better than 56%. I honestly think Claussen is miles beyond all of those guys if you are looking for someone to run an NFL offense. |
