First of all, you're not a season ticket holder so your opinion carries no financial commitment. Please continue to talk out your ass - like you alway do - for free. Second, back? Back from what? Last place?

The defensive problems cannot be fixed this year. They are not going to sign a player that all of a sudden makes the defense great. I dont think changing defensive schemes can do anything to change a below average defense. We need competent players in our secondary or else we will continue to get torched. I think its safe to assume that there wont be any playoffs this year. The surprising horrible start by the Titans at least gives us a chance to compete against the Colts for the division title. But then again saying we have a chance to win the division is laughable after this defeat.

To quote Jim Mora "that sucked.". Started with no build up to pregame player intro's to
No ingame stats (if you blink you miss them.). Horrid third down defense, a crappy call on
KW to the Chris Brown fumble. We had a chance to tie it and possibly win it with a coin toss.

However, it should not have come down to that. The defense was bad. Fred was abused ALL day.

Sad to think I am wishing the Texans had gambled on bringing back Jacques Reeves early.

Very disappointing result today. From game stats the time of possession, first downs, yards gained were essentially even. But we had one more turnover at just the wrong time or its into overtime. The defense has to get a little more consistent, its close. I'm not giving up on them, they can get a lot better. There is a lot of parity in the teams this year so looks like every game comes down to one or two mistakes or big plays of some type.

I hate to say this, but is it possible Reeves could play worse than Bennett......I mean, that is pretty much impossible......right????

I am going to get a lot of disagreement here, but who cares:

1. I don't think that Bush is the problem.
2. The problem is solely on our safety play and Corners minus Dunta specifically Fred Bennett, whose been getting lit up like a Christmas tree.

Yes our DT's are a problem but they are not the reason we are losing. We did a magnificent job on Jones-Drew, Henry, and Johnson for most of the time. You have got to be kidding yourself if you think that we can shut those players down all game. (of course it canhappen but not for us right now) Every now and then the RB is going to get into the secondary. They have to be there to do there part. What do they think, the action will never come their way. We did a damn good job on Drew for the most part until Busing decided he was Polamalu and tried to get a jump on on the run. Drew cut back and never looked back. Its not like Wilson was gonna help.

Overall our safeties are not good and not fast so we cannot afford to have them do anything else but play safety. (Hence the name) Be the last line of defense. Dont try to do things you are not capable of doing. Just stay back watch and wait. In other words lane integrity.

Also the reason we are getting torched on 3rd down is because the teams we have played have made a strong commitment to the run. Then on third and long they realize that Bennett and everyone not named Dunta can't cover. Did you see #11 misuse and abuse Bennett. It always seems to be on third down. Wait til Peyton gets a look at our secondary.

One more thing. Why were the Colts able to be successful with horrible DT's. People literally exposed them up the gut. However, they had an offense that could run with the best of them and they had a Safety net back there who no one was getting past.

Nope, I fully agree.

It IS on the coaches to make adjustments though.

At least the Cowboys won. It would have been an even worse week for me if the Cowboys would have lost.

You are giving Dunta way too much credit. He was abused by Tory Holt. I'll admit Bennett was way worse but Dunta was sucking out there too. Garrard just threw Bennetts way more because he was the worst of the db's and he knew it was easy completions all day long.
