Default Could "Sexy Rexy" start against the Jets ?

Texans coach Gary Kubiak said today his back-up quarterback job is tied between Dan Orlovsky and Rex Grossman and that a decision on who suits up for the New York Jets will be determined after practice this week.
**
“They’re both backups right now,” Kubiak said. “I wish we’d seen more of Rex in preseason, but he played very well (Friday night).

I dunno, but if Schaub isn't ready a week from Sunday because of his ankle injury, it might be a possibility ?

With Schaub you can never tell. If he weren't so injury prone, he would be a candidate for player of the year IMOG.

Grossman seems a bit of a throwback to me - reminds me of some of the old AFL QB's - Lots of deep balls, lots of INT's (just not this week) - 50:50 TD/INT ratio.

He just missed several other big throws in the Tampa Bay game. He might've been shaking off a little rust..... besides practice, it was his first live action in months...

Rex did pretty good in the one preseason game against Tampa, so, seems ok as backup. He had two TD's and 0 INTs in less playing time than Orlavsky who had 1 TD and 3 INTs. Hopefully Matt will be 100 % ready to go.

Schaub has been declared the starter. Hope the ankle holds up.
